Constructing Buildings and Traps
When setting the goal of a marching unit, if you select Build from the Unit commands, you are able to construct buildings or traps. Units ordered to build will move to the destination and then begin building. At this time, the required gold will be deducted from the unit's affiliated city. If there is insufficient gold, building will be canceled.
Once durability on the building is maxed, construction is complete and the building will activate its effect. This effect will only be effective within the effect range of the building.
Note: Buildings can also be increased due to the effects of the support and schemes departments (found under Administration in the "Appointments" Force command).
Buildings and Traps
There are 3 types of buildings and traps:
Military | Has the effect of interfering with enemy units or reducing supply consumption and is useful for maintaining and defending the front lines. |
---|---|
Obstacle | Its high durability interferes with enemy movement. |
Trap | Unseen by the enemy, a trap will activate when the enemy enters its activation area. Durability will drop each turn. |
Limits for Building on Land
Construction has the following rules depending on the type of building:
-
Military facilities and obstacles can only be constructed on flat land.
Also, military facilities must have at least a 2-Hex space around them or they cannot be built. - Traps can only be built on flat areas and on your force's areas.
- Cannot construct on enemy land or on areas neighboring enemy land.
- Cannot be constructed on mountain or river terrains.
