Pressing a button at the Title screen will display the Start Menu.

Load

Restart a game from save data.

Start New

Start a new game.

Tutorial

Start a tutorial scenario to learn the basic flow of the game. There are 4 different scenarios: "Raising Your Country's Strength," "Marching and Suppressing," "Battle Basics," and "City Suppression." We encourage beginning players to try them out.

Register Orig. Officer

Create up to 150 original officers.
When starting a new game, you can set whether you want original officers to appear. If you set them to appear, you can choose whether they will be part of an existing force, a free officer, or the Ruler of an original force.
Also, the data for these original officers can be exchanged with other players via Export/Load Orig. Officer. You can also import officers from "ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS XIII".

Note: Export/Load Orig. Officer and load "ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS XIII" original officers are functions unique to the Steam version. Under normal conditions, original officer data will be exported to Documents\KoeiTecmo\SAN14\PERSONDATA in the user's folder on drive C.

Options

Adjust settings for graphics, volumes, key configurations, and so on.

Note: The scenario settings (difficulty, etc.) can be changed when starting a new game.

End Game

End the game currently being played.

Note: Does not display on the PS4 version.
