About Life Tasks

The main character will come up with "things that she wants to do" one after another. These are called Life Tasks.
The contents of Life Tasks vary, from as serious as affecting the main character's way of life, to as simple as repeating Synthesis or battle a few times. You are free to complete Life Tasks as you see fit.
The game advances by alternating between the "Main Story Advancement Term" where players advance the main story, and the "Task Completion Term" where players can challenge various Life Tasks after completing the main story's Life Tasks.

Completing Life Tasks

The main character's Motivation

Completing Life Tasks will increase the main character's Motivation and cause the indicator to approach "Good" on the corresponding bar graph. High Motivation has various merits, like increasing movement speed, and increasing the number of items gathered.
Motivation gradually decreases as you explore, gather, synthesize, and fight battles.

Main Story Advancement Term

The term in which only Life Tasks related to the main story can be advanced. By completing them, events will be triggered.
During the Main Story Advancement Term, there is a colored illustration of the main character facing right.

Task Completion Term

Life Task Gauge

During the Task Completion Term, there is an illustration of the main character facing left.
During the Task Completion Term, in addition to the Main Life Task, you can also challenge other Life Tasks (such as free Mind, Person, Body, and Skill Life Tasks).
As you complete the Main Life Tasks, the Life Gauge indicated by an illustration of the main character will be filled with color from bottom to top. If you fill it all the way to the top (that is, max out the Life Task Gauge), you will advance to the next chapter.
