Battle Screen
Select Defend or Invade from Battle in the Political Commands, and then select Begin Battle from the Pre-Battle Screen to move to the Battle Screen.
Player Status
Your current Lv., and Military Units will be displayed. In addition to the units shown below, other units will become available as you earn higher titles.
Infantry. Strong against cavalry, but weak against archers. Increased damage against siege weapons. | |
Cavalry. Strong against archers, but weak against infantry. Increased damage against enemy base endurance. | |
Archer. Strong against infantry, but weak against cavalry. You can instruct your archers to fire at a target of your choice. | |
Health Gauge. This will be reduced as you get hit by enemy attacks, and you will lose the battle when it reaches zero. You will automatically be revived as long as you have remaining Army Strength. You can restore health through secret plans. | |
Musou Gauge. Attack the enemy or take damage to fill the gauge, once it is full you can unleash Musou Attacks. |
Secret Plan
Equipped secret plans. Secret plans are special attacks that can be the key to success in battle. Get them from being victorious in Storming the Castle or after earning a title.
After you use a secret plan, you cannot use another one until the Secret Plan Gauge is full again.
Trigger Attacks/Special Attacks
Launch enemies into the air. Follow up with a Flow Attack to perform a series of attacks in the air. | |
Stun enemies. Stunned enemies will be temporarily immobilized. | |
Knock down enemies. Follow up with a Flow Attack to continue hitting enemies after they fall down. | |
Unleash a special attack unique to your officer. After you use it, a blue gauge will appear. When the gauge is filled you will be able to use the special attack again. |

The number of continuous attacks you have landed.
K.O.s
The number of enemies you have defeated.
Base Info
Information about the base that you are occupying. Ally bases are shown in blue, enemy bases are shown in red.
Besides the regular bases that you can set up to slow down advancing siege weapons, there are also weapon bases that produce specific siege weapons, and lookout bases that can be built on castle walls.

Army Strength Gauge
Ally (blue) and enemy (red) Army Strength will be displayed.
The level of morale in each unit is shown next to the gauge. Possessing a greater Army Strength than your opponent will give you the upper hand in battle.

Secret Plans
The success conditions for ally secret plans and prevention conditions for enemy secret plans will be displayed.
Carry out ally secret plans successfully and prevent the enemy's secret plans to give you the upper hand in battle.

Displays where you are able to use a grappling hook to climb castle walls.
