Results

Ryza, the first character in the Atelier Series to star in two successive titles, continues her epic journey with her friends!
Last year's popular contest, the “Atelier Ryza FAN-ART/COSPLAY Contest,” will be held again this year!
Please send us artwork and photographs of your cosplay focusing on Ryza and her friends (both new and returning)!
From all entries received, the game’s producers as well as illustrator Toridamono will select their favorites.
Those selected will receive prizes such as a signed illustration by Toridamono!

We look forward to seeing everyone's wonderful artwork and cosplay photos!

General Rules
The image should be sent in .JPG format, A4 dimensions, short size 1200px or more (it can be either portrait or landscape format).
Please also include your pen name (alias), the title of your illustration and country of residence.
In the e-mail subject line, please put “Atelier Fan-Art / Cosplay Contest”.

*When submitting via e-mail, please use a file transfer service, or, if your submission is smaller than 3MB, attach your work to the e-mail message. Please note that any data that we receive will not be returned.

*Artwork and photographs created specifically for this contest, as well as works you have created previously will also be accepted!

Submission Precautions
  • The artwork and photographs must feature character(s) from Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy. Submissions that feature original characters or other characters who are not in Atelier Ryza 2 will not be accepted.
  • Multiple separate submissions are allowed.
  • When submitting via e-mail, please use a file transfer service, or, if your submission is smaller than 3MB, attach your work to the e-mail message. Please note that any data that we receive will not be returned.
Terms of Submissions
  • Any works which depict discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, etc., or which have the possibility to cause distress or discomfort to any third party will not be accepted.
  • Any submissions that infringe upon any copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third parties, submissions that use works, or parts of works, created by third parties, will not be accepted. Entrants must ensure that any artwork and cosplay photographs submitted are submissions created by the entrant and not created by others, nor has the artwork and/or cosplay photographs submitted are modifications of other people’s work. Any submissions found not to be originally created by the entrant will be disqualified.
  • All contestants must be 18 year of age or older.
  • Any of the submissions may be displayed on any of the official Koei Tecmo group social media accounts, official website, live streams/broadcasts (including archived videos) , and by making a submission you agree that you will not dispute the use of your submission by Koei Tecmo Games.
  • Entrants will be required to provide their physical address information for the purposes of sending out the awards. Personal information will only be used for the purposes of running this event, including contacting the entrant and/or sending prizes. Entrants' personal information will be maintained in accordance with the privacy policies of the Koei Tecmo group and may be kept for a certain period as deemed necessary. Entrants' personal information will not be offered to or shared with any third party without the consent of the entrant, except as required by law upon request by courts, government, or similar organization.
  • We reserve the right to postpone or cancel this campaign at any time without advance warning. Koei Tecmo Games shall not be responsible for any incorrect or misdirected entries and accept no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from an entrant’s participation, or inability to participate, in this contest.

You can really see the summer-like sunlight as well as Ryza's wonderful smile in this picture! Patty looks quite shy and Lent is keeping his distance from the group, which really exemplifies their personalities and relationships to each other very well. We chose this entry as the piece itself was filled with excitement and it really looked like Ryza was saying "let's go on an adventure together!" Thank you for sending us so many wonderful entries. It's almost time for Ryza and her friends' next big adventure! Please look forward to it!

Even after they grow up, the relationship between childhood friends really doesn't change. This is so true to life (haha). The new characters will become closer to everyone, and with Ryza as the center of their group, they will probably become very invested in their new friends. The inclusion of characters returning from Ryza 1 and the way they expressed their relative relationships to each other was really splendid, so I chose this particular piece. In addition, the NPC Bos was even included which was a really fantastic additional point to add! Thank you for submitting so many wonderful entries! I really wanted to keep theme of "friends" as an important factor, so I chose from the pieces that included a lot of the characters! (There were many other pleasant pieces to choose from so I had a hard time deciding...)

The layout of the piece, with Ryza and Klaudia back to back, instantly caught our attention. The summer-like blue sky and clouds above make for a very cheerful piece, but with just a hint of sadness mixed in, making for a really wonderful piece. These two loved each other even when they were apart, and now that they are finally reuinted, this piece makes you wonder what kind of adventure they will go on next together.

This cosplay is so close to the character that it makes you want to yell out "a 3D Serri!?" Their mysterious expression is also quite lovely. With all of the plants placed around the room, it really looks like a place Serri would live.

This piece had the apperance of a very cute photo board, with so many intricate details that you can't help but inspect the piece for a long time! This picture really makes you think "What kind of summer vacation did Ryza, Klaudia and Patty have?" and "What did the three of them talk about?"

  1. The Promoter
    The promoter is: KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD.
  2. The competition
    • 2.1 The title of the competition is Atelier Fan-Art / Cosplay Contest.
    • 2.2 The competition invites anyone to draw our Atelier series’ characters to celebrate the launch of Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy. The artwork must feature character(s) of the game Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy. The artwork that features original characters or characters of other series will not be accepted. The submissions will be judged by our special committee and we have prepared a variety of prizes, to be announced at a later date.
  3. How to enter
    • 3.1 The competition will run to 31 October 2020 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
    • 3.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 23.59 on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
    • 3.3 To enter the competition: Send your work to the e-mail address, titling it " Atelier Fan-Art / Cosplay Contest"
    • 3.4 No purchase necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the website.
    • 3.5 The Promoter will not accept:
      • (a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
      • (b) proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
    • 3.6 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

    • 3.8 The competition entries will be judged by a panel of judges based on a board of the Gust team and illustrators by their criteria. The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final.
  4. Eligibility
    • 4.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:
      • (a) employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
      • (b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
      • (c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
    • 4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
  5. The prize
    • 5.1 The prizes are announced on our website.
    • 5.2 There is no cash alternative for the prize.
  6. Winner announcement
    • 6.1 The winner of the competition will be announced at Gust official webpage on November.
    • 6.2 The decision of the judges nominated by the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
    • 6.3 The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry.
    • 6.4 A list of Winners can be viewed on website from the Announcement Date for a period of 30 days.
  7. Claiming the prize
    • 7.1 Please allow 30 days for delivery of the prize.
    • 7.2 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 7 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
    • 7.3 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
  8. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
    • 8.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
    • 8.2 By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
      • (a) assign to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
      • (b) waive all moral rights, in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
    • 8.3 You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry for such purposes.
  9. Data protection and publicity
    • 9.1 The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the PRIVACY POLICY
  10. General
    • 10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
    • 10.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
    • 10.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
