We would like to thank everyone for all the support and feedback about Ryza and her companions,
ever since Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout was released.
To drive more interest ahead of the game’s launch, we held a fan-art contest.
Thank you for sending us your beautiful artworks or cosplay photos featuring Ryza, Klaudia and their friends.
From all entries received, the game’s producers as well as illustrator Toridamono will select their favorites.
Those selected will receive prizes such as a signed illustration by Toridamono!

General Rules

The image should be sent in .JPG format,
A4 dimensions, short size 1200px or more (it can be either portrait or landscape format).
Please also include your pen name (alias),
the title of your illustration and country of residence.
In the e-mail subject line, please put “Atelier Fan-Art / Cosplay Contest”.

*Artwork and photographs created specifically for this contest,
as well as works you have created previously will also be accepted!

Submission Precautions

  • ・The artwork and photographs must feature character(s) from Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and Secret Hideout. Submissions that feature original characters or other characters who are not in Atelier Ryza will not be accepted.
  • ・Multiple separate submissions are allowed.
  • ・When submitting via e-mail, please use a file transfer service, or, if your submission is smaller than 3MB, attach your work to the e-mail message. Please note that any data that we receive will not be returned.

Terms of Submissions

  • ・Any works which depict discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, etc., or which have the possibility to cause distress or discomfort to any third party will not be accepted.
  • ・Any submissions that infringe upon any copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third parties, submissions that use works, or parts of works, created by third parties, will not be accepted. Entrants must ensure that any artwork and cosplay photographs submitted are submissions created by the entrant and not created by others, nor has the artwork and/or cosplay photographs submitted are modifications of other people’s work. Any submissions found not to be originally created by the entrant will be disqualified.
  • ・All contestants must be 18 year of age or older.
  • ・Entrants who have applied via Twitter will be disqualified in the event they unfollow the （@KOEI TECMO EUROPE） account or delete the submission tweet. Applications from private accounts will also not be accepted. The results of this contest will not be decided by a public vote.
  • ・Any of the submissions may be displayed on any of the official Koei Tecmo group social media accounts, official website, live streams/broadcasts (including archived videos) and/or the Koei Tecmo Games booth at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2019, and by making a submission you agree that you will not dispute the use of your submission by Koei Tecmo Games.
  • ・Entrants will be required to provide their physical address information for the purposes of sending out the awards. Personal information will only be used for the purposes of running this event, including contacting the entrant and/or sending prizes. Entrants' personal information will be maintained in accordance with the privacy policies of the Koei Tecmo group and may be kept for a certain period as deemed necessary. Entrants' personal information will not be offered to or shared with any third party without the consent of the entrant, except as required by law upon request by courts, government, or similar organization.
  • ・We reserve the right to postpone or cancel this campaign at any time without advance warning. Since there were so many wonderful entries, we increased the Cosplay Prize to 3 winners.
Seeing the many works filled with memories with Ryza and friends deeply moved us.

    With a BBQ under a blue sky, this is a truly summer situation! And to see the Stylish Weapon Skin DLC used like this is fantastic! The cheerful and lively faces of these friends make it a wonderful work of art. The way the boys are gazing at the meat is quite intense!

    They probably got tired after running under the hot sun. It's a wonderful illustration of everyone getting along happily, and it also puts the person looking at it at ease. It reminds us of pure and innocent feelings... Having multiple characters in one image requires a lot of power and can be technically difficult. But, this overcomes those issues and express each character's vividly for a really lovely piece!

There were so many wonderful entries that we increased
the Cosplay Prize from 1 to 3 winners and Regional Prizes from 8 to 12 winners.

  1. The Promoter
    The promoter is: KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD.
  2. The competition
    • 2.1 The title of the competition is Atelier Fan-Art / Cosplay Contest.
    • 2.2 The competition invites anyone to draw our Atelier series’ characters to celebrate the lauch of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. The artwork must feature character(s) of the game Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. The artwork that features original characters or characters of other series will not be accepted. The submissions will be judged by our special committee and we have prepared a variety of prizes, to be announced at a later date.
  3. How to enter
    • 3.1 The competition will run to 19 August 2019 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
    • 3.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 23.59 on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
    • 3.3 To enter the competition: Send your work to the e-mail address, titling it " Atelier Fan-Art / Cosplay Contest"
    • 3.4 No purchase necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the website.
    • 3.5 The Promoter will not accept:
      • (a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
      • (b) proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
    • 3.6 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

    • 3.8 The competition entries will be judged by a panel of judges based on a board of the Gust team and illustrators by their criteria. The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final.
  4. Eligibility
    • 4.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:
      • (a) employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
      • (b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
      • (c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
    • 4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
  5. The prize
    • 5.1 The Prizes will be announced later on our website.
    • 5.2 There is no cash alternative for the prize.
  6. Winner announcement
    • 6.1 The winner of the competition will be announced at Gust official webpage on (6 September 2019).
    • 6.2 The decision of the judges nominated by the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
    • 6.3 The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry.
    • 6.4 A list of Winners can be viewed on website from the Announcement Date for a period of 30 days.
  7. Claiming the prize
    • 7.1 Please allow 30 days for delivery of the prize.
    • 7.2 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 7 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
    • 7.3 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
  8. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
    • 8.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
    • 8.2 By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
      • (a) assign to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
      • (b) waive all moral rights, in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
    • 8.3 You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry for such purposes.
  9. Data protection and publicity
    • 9.1 The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the PRIVACY POLICY
  10. General
    • 10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
    • 10.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
    • 10.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
